Once
a famous Burlesque stripper, her name still resonates in the theater and
motion picture screen today. Given to her at birth, was the name of
Louise. As she was pushed on to be successful by her manipulating mother, she
later took on the name of "Rose Lee".
Here we have a stunning full-length gown bearing her shoulders to the
pleasure of her male
followers. This was considered to be rather bold to show any skin at all during
those days. She has been decorated in "Red" (of all colors) sequins,
bugle beads and edged in silver beading. Her sleeves are even red beaded fringe
as well as the entire hem of the gown, only to come up to a peek in the center
if the back hem line. The delicate red sequined flowers, much like Rose Lee
herself, are placed around her exposed shoulders. The back is adorned with
flowers as well as a cascade of both red and silver seed bead fringe. To
complete the entire design, Bob and Lee kept in line of Rose’s trade mark
finishing it off with a ostrich feather plum in her hair and a long feather boa.
And you can only image how she tossed that around!
